Since Dan and I got back together, a couple of friends told me that I am, like, the model girlfriend. Coming from me, it sounds like I am glorifying myself, right? But no, I am not. Let me expound on that. Star, a friend who was able to hang out with us last March, told me that she is going to make me her peg when it comes to being a girlfriend. She said she saw how I was with Dan when we were in their place. Star told me that I was THAT caring and loving and sweet to him. She is nothing near that daw with her former beaus. I did not actually take that seriously until another friend told me the same thing. Until now, people keep on telling me that it is extraordinary that despite our ‘catastrophic history’, I am all in and I still love Dan to no end. Star said, non-verbatim, “Hindi ka natatakot ipakita na mahal na mahal mo siya. Parang walang nangyaring masama noon. Ganyan mo siyang kamahal.” (“You are not afraid to show the world how much you love him. It’s like nothing bad ever happened before. That’s how much you love him.”) Well, people, all I can say is.. It’s not called a ‘fresh start’ for nothing. :)

And because I am feeling inspired by these guys’ compliments, and because I still can’t believe I am actually a good girlfriend that I still need to convince myself that I really am (I know I had a lot to contribute to our break up before), I am making a short list on how I am as a girlfriend now (only the good side of it, lol). I am NOT saying I am an expert on the subject because, believe me, I still have an awful lot of lapses. I am just going to share some of the things I know I am doing right. Who knows, maybe, just maybe, you might find something useful. So here goes..
